Starting On My Path

After graduating high school in 2004 I had no idea where my life was headed. After a few short months a life altering weekend changed my life's perspective forever. I discovered the never-ceasing love of Christ. Growing up, I had attended church and was heavily involved but I never truly asked Jesus into my heart nor was I leading a life centered upon God's will for my life.

Almost immediately, God began to open doors for me to keep accountable to my new found faith. Through a mutual friend and a little help from Myspace, I met my husband-to-be. Andy is the man of God that I always wanted but never knew I needed and with him I began my journey discovering the promises held for my life found in God's Word. I even started to attend church with Andy, and while the church meets humbly in a local middle school, there is nothing less presented than the everlasting Word of God.

More recently I have been blessed beyond belief with the job that I always wanted. In college, a professor asked me what I wanted to do with my career, and I casually threw out that I wanted to work for a Christian magazine company. I had never truly looked into this field but it sounded like fun. The professor then told me that I shouldn't be so 'narrow-minded' with keeping my focus limited to a Christ-centered company. In March of 2009, I started part time with Central Creative Group as a design intern but only six months later I made a huge change in my life, taking a step away from the comforts of my previous job, and began to work full time with them.

And even more recently as our company has taken on another member, I have felt my heart stirred by the passion of this company. I have been given a tremendous gift to not only work for a Christian company but to use this company as a means of reaching out to other believers in ways I had never known.

My faith has been undergoing a tremendous change. My knowledge of Christ has been expanding exponentially as I read through His Word, giving me an understanding of my place in this world, a world that is so much larger than myself. I am on a path to uncover my true passion in life; starting this blog to give myself a space to collect and share my thoughts on the road to discovery.

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Colassians 3:23-24
